Pharmacy Pre-registration Training Programme
UCAS Code CID1129 Duration 1 years Are you planning to take a pre-registration training year before taking the General Pharmaceutical Council’s registration exam? This 10-session course will support you with specialist training and provide opportunities to network with fellow pre-registration pharmacists. We fully understand the pressures of the pre-registration year and this course will help you develop your full potential by focusing on key elements of the pre-registration syllabus. We will support your professional development through monthly sessions on topics such as pharmacy law, communication skills, calculation practice, business management and emergency first aid. We will also prepare you for your registration assessment with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Our Programme Leader has a long history as a pre-registration tutor and our academic staff have backgrounds in both hospital and community pharmacy. Our teaching is supplemented by external speakers who focus on up-to-date clinical issues. The contact time for this course is one day per month at the University of Sunderland, for a total of 10 sessions. The course does not earn you credits, but it will help prepare you for the exam that will result in your registration as a pharmacist. |
