This is our only postgraduate course with a specific focus on banking. It provides specialist training through up-to-date theoretical frameworks, relevant knowledge and transferable skills. The course is suitable both for new graduates and for bank employees who are seeking to develop their careers.

Modules cover international banking, global corporate strategy, and financial management and markets. There is also a module on developing skills for business leadership. Your Masters dissertation will focus on a topic that you negotiate with your tutor, based on your personal interests and career aspirations.

Throughout the course there is a mix of academic rigour and critical application.
Your fellow students will come from a range of cultures and we encourage collaborative working through Peer Action Learning Sets. As a member of a Learning Set you will share practical and academic experiences and reflect critically on case studies, debates and problems. By the end of the course you will have developed a systematic understanding of banking and finance in an international context. This will give you the intellectual tools and knowledge to tackle real-world issues at management level. As a result you will have a clear advantage in applying for roles that carry the higher salaries associated with the finance sector.
