UCAS Code CID1124 Duration 1 years This Masters course is based at Botswana Accountancy College. It is a part-time course so that you can combine it with your existing work commitments. It trains you to be a project manager who can deliver a defined set of changes at the right time, the right cost and the right quality. The course emphasises practical skills and the professional standards of the Association for Project Management. You will cover methodologies (such as PRINCE2), commercial and contractual issues, and the use of project management software. You will also explore how to manage projects across multiple geographies, overcoming cultural and communication obstacles. The course also provides training in more general management areas. Modules include ‘Managing People and Project Leadership’, ‘Decision Support for Management’ and ‘Project Risk and Quality Management’. The course builds on your existing skills and enhances mastery of the APM’s five dimensions of professionalism: breadth, depth, achievement, commitment and accountability. Your Masters qualification will equip you for working as a specialist project manager in any industry. The most common industries are construction, engineering, digital media, IT and telecoms. |
