• Where to submit Visa application?

You can choose to submit your visa application at the UK Visa Application Centres (VFS Global) located in Hanoi City or Ho Chi Minh City.

• Which UK body will approve your Visa application?

The official body to approve all Visa applications is the UK Border Agency (UKBA).

• When to start to Apply for a Visa?

It is advisable to apply 3 months before the course start date.  It is recommended that you start to prepare the necessary documents for Visa Application earlier.

• Visa Processing Time

UK Visas and Immigration aims to process 90% of non-settlement visa applications in not more than 3 weeks. (Processing time for Tier 4 General Student Visa normally takes about 15 working days).

• Visa Application Fee

There is a fee payable to UKBA for applying a UK Visa.  Additionally, you are required to pay a service fee to the UK Visa Application Centre located in Ho Chi Minh City, this is apart from the fee payable to UKBA. The services of the UK Visa Application Centre in Hanoi are free.

• Biometric Information

During your appointment and presence at the UK Visa Application Centre, you will be required to provide your finger prints and photograph.

• Visa Interview

If you are a student under the Point Based System Visa (Tier 4), you will need to sit for a short interview in the Visa Application Centre with a UKBA staff.  The type of interview is subject to UKBA requirements at the time of application. You should arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time (if you are late you will need to reschedule your appointment).

• Documents Required For Application of Visa

You are required to submit the following documents:

• Valid Passport
• Latest 2 Photographs (45mm X 35mm) white background
• Application Form & related Documents
• CAS Letter & related Qualifications and Transcripts
• Financial Ability Evidence
• TB Testing Certificate (if course is longer than 6 months)
• Other Documents as required by UKBA at the time of application
