With its focus on both language and literature, students on this degree enjoy modules such as ‘Language and Culture’, ‘The Language of Fiction’, ‘World Englishes in Fiction’ and ‘Talking Pages: Drama Dialogue and Conversation’. ‘Language and Culture’, ‘The Language of Fiction’, ‘World Englishes in Fiction’ and ‘Talking Pages: Drama Dialogue and Conversation’. Optional modules allow you to enrich your study of English language and literature alongside like-minded students and within a creative and supportive environment. Options include ‘Introduction to Media Language’, ‘Language and Power’ and ‘Style in Science Fiction and Fantasy’. Throughout the course we encourage you to become culturally empowered and highly articulate. In the final year you will enhance transferable skills in research through writing a 6,000 word dissertation on a topic of your choice.
