This course draws on Sunderland’s expertise in dance, drama and music. According to The Guardian University Guide 2012, we are no.1 in the North East for drama and music; we are also in the top third of all the universities in the UK for music.

The Performing Arts allows you to range across dance, music and drama, with a mix of academic rigour and practical skills. Two core modules will deepen your understanding and love of performing arts. Alongside these modules you can choose to take:

• One main subject plus a subsidiary subject
• Two subjects in equal amounts
• Three subjects 

So there is tremendous flexibility to personalise your studies to suit your evolving interests and career aspirations.

Whatever your combination of subjects, our tutors will encourage you to take up opportunities for artistic exploration. We will also support your acquisition of transferable skills in analysis, communication, teamwork and creativity.
