Duration: 1 years

Intl Fee: £9,500

This course will build on your existing technical and creative skills in areas such as editing video and audio, camera and lighting techniques, production management, scriptwriting and sound recording.

Sunderland is among the top 25 universities in the UK for media studies, according to The Guardian University Guide 2012. 95% of our media students agree that staff are good at explaining things, according to the National Student Survey.

During the course you will undertake a major project in either television or video. This project will showcase your skills and be a valuable tool for opening up opportunities with TV organisations, production companies and new media agencies.

You will also choose from a range of practice modules that include ‘TV Studio Operations’, ‘DVD Surround Sound’ and ‘Advanced Digital Post Production’.

In addition, you will take a core module in ‘Media Studies’. You’ll be learning from experts in the field – the University hosts the Centre for Research in Media and Cultural Studies.
