Fashion Product and Promotion BA (Hons)

UCAS Code: WN25

Duration: 3 years

Intl Fee: £9,500

The British fashion industry generates more jobs than telecommunications, car manufacturing and publishing put together, according to a 2010 report by Oxford Economics. So working in fashion is very much a real job - and this course will help you get where you want to go.

This course covers:

  • Fashion: concepts, theories and hands - on projects
  • Product: understanding garment construction and the fashion design process, and designing leather goods
  • Promotion: branding, marketing, retail concepts and consumer research

During the first two years the focus is on developing foundational knowledge and skills. In your final year you will produce an in-depth portfolio and develop a major project. You will also exhibit at Graduate Fashion Week, of which the University is a corporate member.

We offer excellent facilities and resources for each strand of the course, such as well-equipped workshops, design suites and industrial sewing. These are located in our Design Centre, in which we have invested heavily.

There are already more than 800,000 people working in fashion in the UK. At the end of the course you will be equipped to join them, with possible roles in areas such as fashion design, brand development, fashion publishing, production, PR and fashion retail.
