Like all our design courses, this course allows you to develop your own style and release your personal creativity. It has core modules in design theories that you will study alongside other design students. It also has practice-based modules that cover all aspects of animation as well as specialist software packages.

The course is distinctive in several ways. First, we expose you to a complete set of animation techniques. These include not only computer generated animation but also 2D traditional animation, 3D stop frame model animation, cut-out animation and other techniques.

Secondly you will be involved in 'live' projects right from the start of the course. These include entries for festivals and competitions such as Red Bull Canimation and E4 Stings. It's all part of our commitment to mixing academic rigour with practical skills.

Thirdly we place animation within a broader context of principles and theories of design. So that you gain an overall knowledge of design that keeps your career options wide open.
